Sunset and Sea Painting, Small Seascape, Daily Painting, Small Oil Painting,SOLD, "Sun Falls to the Sea" 11x14x1.5" Oil Painitng
What could be more beautiful than a sunset, except maybe a sunset over the sea.
I knew right away I was going to have to paint this one.
I used both a brush and a palette knife on this one.....had to get a little texture in there.
I feel like I want a Margarita every time I look at this one....right away I am on island time.
Hope you find a way to relax a little today, too. Thanks for stopping by today.

Impressionism Seascape Sunset Oil Painting "Fire in The Sky" by Florida Impressionism Artist Annie St Martin
Fire In The Sky is an oil painting in the palette knife technique. On a hot, late afternoon summer day, the sun started to set with an explosion of color. Quickly it slipped away. I was so happy to have seen it.

Expressionist Sunset Painting, Daily Painting, Small Oil Painting, 9x12" Oil on Canvas Seascape, SOLD
Well probably your 5 yr old kid could do this....right? Maybe that is why I enjoy it so much.
I may be a slow learner, because it took me many years to get to this point. Mama never said I was the sharpest knife in the drawer.
All kidding aside, I really love the freedom of this piece. Instead of leaving the studio feeling like I have been fighting for hours, I felt very relaxed, happy and ready to sail through the day. I think I need to do this more often!
Thanks for reading my blog today.

Tropical Sunset Painting, Small Oil Painting, Daily Painting, 8x10" Oil on Panel
Inspired by a sunset at Mile 0, Key West.
| Purchase here It is hard, not to be impressed, by a beautiful sunset over water! Technically, this is a Florida sunset, but I thought it had an island vibe, so I named it "Aloha". Thanks for viewing!

Beach Sunset, Small Oil Painting, Daily Painting, 6x8" Original Oil Painting
One of my favorite places to be, when the sun goes down, is on the beach. Of course, on the east coast of Florida, there is no show, but a short 3 hours away, on the west coast......waaaazaa!!
It is such a stunning sight and there is always a crowd of people, gathered to say good bye to the day.
This little painting brings back those spiritual moments, as I remember the peace and quiet that we all felt as the sun fell behind the sea. If only we could capture that feeling and keep it with us always.
Have a peaceful and lovely day....and thanks for visiting today.

Everyone must be in the home stretch of Christmas activities now, but for me, it's all about putting my feet up and enjoying a glass of wine. We celebrated with our family last weekend. When we have to do this, to get everyone together at the same time, we call it "Schiffmas". With Grandkids in college it is getting harder and harder for us to have a family get together with no "missing in action." Jeff and I feel so blessed when we manage to do so.
