16" x 20" Oil $200

Having just read Dead Wake, by Erik Larson,
I have a fresh respect for the ocean seas.
And, emotional turmoil likes to visit.

Painted with large, dynamic brushstrokes,
I hope this painting evokes the wind and surf.

Stormy Day, 7x5 Oil on Canvas by Carmen Beecher

The ocean is so exciting. What's in it, what's on it, what shines through it--all exciting. I never liked reading girlie books when I was young, but I loved seafaring adventures. I had a couple of seafaring adventures of my own as an adult, and I can only say that it sounds better in books. Especially if you are reading about it in a warm, dry, stable, level place.
